Subsidiaries of this division are involved in the manufacturing of many products needed for the development of infrastructure from ready mix and cement blocks to concrete pipes and electrical cables. This division includes Aamal Readymix, Aamal Cement Industries, Advanced Pipes & Casts Company, Frijns Structural Steel Middle East, Senyar Industries Qatar Holding, Doha Cables, Elsewedy Cables Qatar, Ci-San Trading, Gulf Rocks, and Aamal for Maritime Transportation Services.

Aamal Readymix

Aamal has a 100% interest in Aamal Readymix.

Aamal Readymix is considered one of the largest producers of quality ready mixed concrete in Qatar. Aamal Readymix has production facilities near major construction activity hubs in the country and is regarded by a wide variety of business contractors, including mega-scale projects in both the public and private sectors, as the preferred source of quality ready mix concrete. Aamal Readymix was honoured to receive the “GCC 2015 Annual Business Excellence Award” as a best supplier from one of the leading projects in Qatar in recognition of exceptional service and quality. In 2016, Aamal Readymix was awarded the Qatar Sustainability award for introducing a special type of concrete “Green concrete” which is environment friendly and has less carbon foot prints. Aamal Readymix upgraded its certification of IMS standards, TUV ISO 9001:2015 ISO 14001:2015 and BS OHSAS 18001:2007

Aamal Cement Industries W.L.L

Aamal has a 99% interest in Aamal Cement Industries.

Aamal Cement specialises in the production of interlocking slabs and cement bricks. It commenced production of decorative interlocking paving stones and concrete blocks in 2010 with an annual production capacity of approximately 25 million blocks or two million squared meters of paving stones. Aamal Cement Industries now has 130 products in total, differentiated by shape, size, dimension, and color. The plant has one of the largest block and pavement making machines in Qatar and it has introduced several new products such as concrete retaining blocks, decorative slabs and high strength blocks. Aamal Cement Industries is ISO certified for Quality Standard ISO 9001-2008.

Ci-San Trading W.L.L. 

Aamal has a 50% interest Ci-San Trading (the other 50% is held by Masraf Al Rayan)

Ci-San Trading was established in 2008 to evaluate investment opportunities in various sectors such as industrial, real estate, trading both in local and international markets.

Gulf Rocks W.L.L.

Aamal has 74.5 % interest in Gulf Rocks.

Gulf Rocks is a leading importer and provider of high quality gabbro aggregates, which is widely used in concrete products, such as Readymix concrete, construction concrete blocks and asphalt plants for road paving works. In May 2013, Gulf Rocks Company was accredited with ISO 9001-2008 for Quality management system. Gulf Rocks was established in 2000 by Al Faisal Holding, and in 2012 it was acquired by Aamal’s subsidiary Ci-San Trading.

Aamal for Maritime Transportation Services W.L.L.

Aamal holds 1% of the shares directly, with the remaining 99% held by Gulf Rocks.

Aamal has an overall effective interest of 74.75% in Aamal for Maritime Transportation Services (AMTS).

AMTS has acquired two bulk carrier vessels with a capacity of 57,000 tonnes to transport aggregates from Al Fujairah in the UAE to Mesaieed Industrial City in Qatar. AMTS ensures security of supply for Aamal subsidiary Gulf Rocks, a leading importer and provider of high quality gabbro aggregates. AMTS also allows third party operators to optimise the vessels’ utilisation rates and profitability. The vessels are capable of shipping non-industrial commodities such as grains as well as aggregates and similar industrial raw materials.  

Senyar Industries Qatar Holding W.L.L

Aamal has a 50% interest in Senyar Industries Qatar Holding (the other 50% is held by Elsewedy Electric of Egypt).

A partnership agreement between Aamal Company and the Egyptian Company, Elsewedy Electric, the Middle East’s leading integrated cables and electrical products manufacturer, was signed in 2007 creating Senyar Industries Qatar Holding  Company. Senyar Industries Qatar Holding has 2 main interests: Doha Cables and El Sewedy Cables Qatar.  

Doha Cables W.L.L

Doha Cables is the first cable manufacturing factory in Qatar.

Aamal Company has 47.3% interest in Doha Cables.

The state-of-the-art, 70,000 square metres manufacturing facility has a production capacity of  52,000 tonnes of cables per annum and manufactures a wide variety of power cables, flexible cables,  building wires, earthing cables, overhead conductors, optical ground wires (OPGW), fibre optic cables, alongside more specialised cables, such as heat resistant flexible cables, fire resistant, flame retardant, lead sheathed and control cables. The factory premises are equipped with some of  the most technologically advanced cable manufacturing machines which cut delivery time to the  various infrastructure projects in Qatar allowing greater efficiency and cost effectiveness. Doha Cables is committed to maintaining the highest safety standards, whilst producing superior quality products in an environmentally sound and responsible manner. Doha Cables has obtained Civil Defence certification for Fire Resistant Cables, LPCB certification, BASEC Product certification requirements  in addition to  132kV approval by KAHRAMAA after  conducting the loop type test at KEMA laboratories in the Netherlands.  

Elsewedy Cables Qatar W.L.L

Aamal Company has a 38.3% interest in El Sewedy Cables Qatar.

El Sewedy  Cables Qatar specialises in the distribution of electro-mechanical equipment and cables.  El Sewedy Cables Qatar distributes the products of Doha Cables and those of other manufacturers. El Sewedy Cables Qatar commenced operations in 2006 and a 55% was acquired by Senyar Industries from El Sewedy Electric Company in January 2010. During 2016, Senyar has acquired 24.4% additional shares, and the remining 26.6% with unaffiliated third parties.  

Advanced Pipes & Casts Company W.L.L

Aamal owns 50% of Advanced Pipes and Casts Company.

Established in 2010 as a joint venture between Aamal and a Saudi Arabian subsidiary of the Lokma Group, a leading pipe manufacturer in the Middle East. Advanced Pipes & Casts Company is located in Mesaieed industrial area, with built up space of over 85,000 squared meters and production capacity of 450,000 tons/year. Products range include circular  precast concrete manholes; reinforced concrete pipes (both lined and unlined); precast concrete box culverts; and jacking pipes.  

Frijns Structural Steel Middle East W.L.L.

Aamal has a 20% interest in Frijns Structural Steel (60% is held by Frijns Industrial Group of The Netherlands, remaining 20% is by a third party).

Frijns Structural Steel - Middle East started operations in Qatar in 2009 by opening its first production facility in the region, which produces steel for the petrochemical and process  industries, including all associated engineering,  production,  anti-corrosion,  construction  and   assembly  work. Frijns has a 75,000 squared meters state of the art workshop in Mesaieed area, in addition to a  workshop in Shahaniyah area.
