Aamal strengthens Qatari automotive operations with exclusive distribution rights to state-of-the-art Energizer Automotive Batteries

Doha, Qatar – 22 December 2012 – Aamal Company Q.S.C. (“Aamal”), one of the GCC’s

operations by securing sole distribution rights for Qatar to supply Energizer Automotive
Batteries, through its fully owned branch Aamal Trading & Distribution.

Energizer Automotive Batteries is a trademark of Eveready Battery Company, Inc. and is used
under license by Johnson Controls Battery Group, Inc. which manufactures and distributes the
batteries. Johnson Controls Battery Group Inc. is the world‘s largest provider of battery power
solutions for the vehicle original equipment and aftermarket, producing 129 million batteries in
2011. With a world class customer base in the automotive aftermarket, providing Original
