To join forces to empower pharmacy students with internship opportunities, training, and professional development.

 

Doha, Qatar, 31 May, 2023 Ebn Sina Medical Company, a subsidiary of Aamal Company Q.P.S.C. (Aamal), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Qatar University for joint cooperation between both parties, including work in the field of student training, professional development and excellence awards for students of the College of Pharmacy. The event was attended by Mr. Rashid Al Mansoori, CEO of Aamal, Dr. Asma Al Thani, Vice President of Health and Medical Sciences Sector, a number of sector employees, in addition to officials from Ebn Sina Medical Company.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Rashid Al Mansoori, CEO of Aamal Company, and Prof. Firas Alali, Acting Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy, The MoU scope includes exchanging experiences, resources, information and development opportunities that are in line with the mission of both parties, in addition to organising seminars, workshops, lectures and training programs for the community in Qatar also implementing joint programs in the field of education, student training and research which helps to preparea generation of talented pharmacists who are able to fully serve the  university and the State of Qatar..

In his speech, Dr. Firas Alali, Acting Dean of the College of Pharmacy, said: "We thank the efforts made by Ebn Sina Medical and the members of the College of Pharmacy and the support of Dr. Asma Al-Thani, Vice President of the Medical and Health Sciences Sector to reach this agreement, which is considered a model for agreements between the private sector and the public sector, as this agreement enhances cooperation between the two parties by providing workshops and exchanging knowledge between the professional staff in Ibn Sina Company and the faculty members in the College of Pharmacy”.
